Sign of the Month goes to this talented sign artist from Fresno, California.
"Cisco" uses a mixed bag of tricks on this one to create a very eye pleasing glass sign.

Details and Comments by the Sign Artist...


"This is an 18"x 18" x 1/4" glass piece.
I used 22kt SignGold and Sparcal Silver vinyl 
to create this "Embossed Gold Leaf Effect" for this project."

  "It was done in Sign Lab, everything was cut in reverse,
I used Vector Art clipart. on the top section.
Then jazzed it up with glass paint to create some flair in the design.
Many sections are hand painted to create the concave effects and veins."

The "14th" was airbrushed in the lower part, and also is in Signgold.
Background was hand painted using a plastic bag to create the blend of both colors, 
maroon, and burnt orange.

The letter "L" was hand drawn and scanned, then made into a vector image. 

The rest of the letters in "ETTERHEADS EXCHANGE" were 
manlipulated, so I could extend the serifs on each letter.

Then I made the outlines, and drop shadows. 
In the words "ETTERHEADS EXCHANGE" I used a gold outline, 
on the inside of the letters I did the stipple effect. but it is also in Signgold.

 The last thing I did was signed it in Signgold,
my name is less than 1/4" in height.

I think that was the tough part trying to weed letters that small,
 not as easy as regular vinyl. The Frame was also hand painted
with special effects to balance off with the glass piece.
