May 2000 Sign of the Month for May 2000 goes to Marty Happy from Canada. I met Marty at the Mazeppa Muster, August 1999. Marty sent me this cool 3D sign last month. Great job buddy! Mark Fair . The Artist's Details.. I may have a project that you may want to consider for your sign of the month page. I finished a 3-dimensional sign several weeks ago that I'm quite proud of. It's actually the first serious sign of that kind after getting all that inspiration at Mazzeppa. The sign made entirely of MDF with polished brass laminate for the lettering, is 3" thick, 3' high and 4' wide. It was done for my favorite local watering hole. I'm told by Mark, the lead singer of the band that this sign is actually the first thing to appear in The Poverty Plainsmens new video that was filmed live there 3 weeks ago. These local guys get a lot of airplay across Canada and this latest video should hit CMT (at least in Canada) next week. Their latest album was recorded in Nashville and it was a Nashville crew that filmed the video. So needless to say I'm quite "pumped". Hey Mark: Wow...really! Thanks! I was wondering if I even had a chance with all that awesome stuff I've seen on your site. Now I can add 'award winning signage' to my portfolio. And double my prices!!! (LOL) Marty Happy .
