January 2001 Sign of the Month for January 2001 Rich Litzenberger and Jim Schneck Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom
. The Artist's Details.. Thanks Mark for this honor, Rising Waters in a game location at our amusement park. Sign was primarily designed by Jim Schneck collaborating with Rich Litzhenberger, using Adobe Illustrator and Gerber Advantage 6.2. Most of our designs are a joint effort. The sign is approximately 3'x8'. The majority of the sign is layered up 1" 15lb signfoam. The word 'rising' is 13mm pvc board painted with Deka sign enamels (no primer necessary). The effect in the word 'Waters' is an edge print of a stock Corel photo. The foam has Three coats of J Cooke primer and 1-shot lettering enamel finish. A 3/4" MDO panel is laminated on the back of the sign for stability. West systems was used for gluing up all the layers. Some of our signs receive a polyurethane clearcoat, but this one went out the door too fast. All the shapes where hand cut by our carpentry department, using pounce pattern created on our envision 30" plotter. The sign was then assembled and painted by Doug Rontz who was giving us a hand in the shop last spring. Jim & Rich Past Winners . About the Judges . Sign of the Month is brought to you by... Sign DNA
